This year looks like its going to be good year for films, with a quite a few I actually look forward to see. That being said you can only determine if the film is great once you've seen it. I recently saw Sherlock Holmes 2 : A game of shadows and it was better than I thought it would be, and I'm not basing this on other peoples opinions it was a great film if your into a good plot and care for the characters enough.
The Grey - I haven't heard alot about this film other than the rough storyline, this film looks like it could be something fresh to start the year and end the month of January.
The Woman in Black - Feburary 10th (I hope) Daniel Radcliffe is the main character in this film and is finally moving away from the Harry Potter series, it was great and I loved it but its good he's trying other things.
The Hunger Games - Another story from a popular book and looks interesting, I'd prefer to read the book first though but I have a rough idea of what its all about.
There are a few others but for now I can't be bothered to list them, I'm not sure on the Silent Hill film that's currently being made, fans will be disappointed with the change in storyline but I think the visuals will make up for it. Instead of going to Silent Hill 2 they kicked out James and moved onto SH 3, I love that game but I personally wouldn't mind a movie of Homecoming. Now I've lost all respect from SH fans I'd like to say I actually love Homecoming which is 6, in order I think it is Sh 1, 2, 3, 4, origins, then Homecoming, and then the Wii game? Thinking about SH2 the storyline (if kept exactly the same), would freak out most people who don't know of the game or played it. Half of the scenes would have been cut out due to horrible content but then again the first SH film did extremely well in keeping to the sick and messed up storyline, visually most people will think your insane for liking it :D
